Marketing Communications

A company may offer the best service or product in the world at the best possible price, but unless someone learns about it, he or she will not be beating a path to your door. That's where marketing communications comes into play. Your market needs to learn about your service or product, what want or need that it meets, and what reasons motivate them to make a purchase decision sooner rather than later.

Before crafting any compelling marketing communication, it's important to devote time and serious thought to determining the following:

What's unique about your service/product?
To which market niche is it best suited?
What specific wants of a client/customer does it meet?
What is your Unique Selling Proposition?
What Risk Reversal is built in?
What Irresistible Offer can you create?
How will you get your offer out to your market niche?
How will you track the ROI of your promotions?
How will you communicate to encourage repeat business?

I have worked successfully with clients on all of these issues. I am skilled in determining answers to the above questions and in crafting powerful messages and offers, regardless of whether the approach is by print or electronic media.

The above is no less important in the design engineering industry, and should be applied to general marketing communications, your website, and all the documents you submit to be considered for and selected for assignments, such as qualifications submissions, proposals, resumes, project descriptions, presentations and anything else you submit to prospective or ongoing clients.

$150,000 contract to supply an electronic document management system to Hillsborough County's Fleet Management Department.
$20 million hydropower project in Nepal for Canadian International Development Agency.
> $5.6 million of marketing consulting services to private and public clients.
$45 million construction management contract for Marriott Convention Hotel in Panama.
$25 million water resources project in the Dominican Republic for Canadian International Development Agency.
