Contract Negotiations

Seann Maxwell is an highly experienced negotiator of many different types of contracts and agreements that include: technology licensing, fee-for-service, lump-sum turnkey construction, international joint ventures, international trade, organizational mergers and sales of commodities and military equipment. He has negotiated agreements in countries such as: Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Philippines, Sweden, Thailand, United States and the United Kingdom.

A superbly-negotiated agreement that is appropriate to the situation can be the difference between making or losing money on a deal. When the nature of the agreement changes, so must the language.

For example, I was in Panama negotiating what I thought was going to be time and materials agreement to supply construction management services, when the client indicated strongly that he wanted a lump-sum deal. Our team returned to home base, totally revamped the language of the agreement to reflect the new terms and conditions, and then again went to Panama to conclude the negotiations.

Usually, only the larger companies can afford to employ full-time an experienced negotiator who encompasses on-the-ground experience with the many types of agreements and locales. Seann's experience and expertise is available to those companies who would find it advantageous to outsource this activity when and as needed.

If you are doing international business, then it can be to your advantage to use Seann who spent a goodly part of his career doing business overseas. He understands cultural differences and how to work with them. He also knows fully well the skill of international negotiators, and how to contend with them. He also speaks Spanish.
